Funcle's Café respects your privacy. We collect and use only the information reasonably needed to respond to customers, operate this website, protect it from misuse, and support services you choose to use.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may process the following information:
- Information you submit. Contact and catering forms may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, event date, guest count, and the details or message you provide. The website also records the page from which the request was submitted and a server-generated submission time.
- Ordering information. When online ordering is enabled, the website may process your menu selections, modifiers, quantities, special instructions, pickup time, contact information, and order or payment transaction identifiers needed to create and support an order.
- Basic technical information. Website and infrastructure providers may process information such as your IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, request headers, and error or security events when needed to deliver and protect the site.
- Browser storage. The ordering interface saves your cart in your browser's local storage so it remains available while you browse or return to the site. The website also stores your versioned Cookie Preferences locally on your device so your choices can be remembered.
The forms include a hidden anti-spam field. It is used only to identify invalid automated submissions and is not included in an accepted inquiry sent downstream.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information described in this policy to:
- respond to questions and customer-service requests;
- review and follow up on catering inquiries;
- operate, maintain, and secure website functionality;
- process and fulfill orders when online ordering is enabled;
- diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve website performance where applicable; and
- meet legal, accounting, or other applicable obligations.
We do not describe or use the current website forms as a marketing-signup program.
4. Payments and Square
Online checkout is not enabled until the restaurant's Square connection is configured and approved. When online ordering and payment functionality is enabled, payment details will be entered through Square's payment infrastructure. The website is designed to receive a Square-generated payment token and related transaction information, not raw payment-card numbers.
Square's handling of payment information is governed by its own privacy and security practices. Funcle's Café may receive order, payment status, and limited customer information needed to prepare the order, provide support, and maintain business records.
5. Service Providers
We may use service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website and requested services. Based on the current website and planned production architecture, these include:
- website hosting, server, and security infrastructure providers;
- a CT Digital-managed form-delivery endpoint, which may use Zapier and/or Cloudflare Workers when configured, to route contact and catering submissions;
- Square, when online ordering and payments are enabled;
- TrustIndex to display customer-review content after you allow Functional services;
- Google services used for the embedded map after Functional consent and for hosted website fonts; and
- Google Analytics 4, only when the approved Measurement ID is configured for the deployment and you allow Analytics.
The review widget, map, analytics library, and font services load in your browser and may receive ordinary technical request information when used. The current website code does not send contact or catering form contents to those services.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to requests, supporting orders, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, protecting the website, and meeting legal obligations. Retention may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through the website.
10. Your Choices
You may choose not to submit a form and may call or visit the restaurant instead. You can clear the saved cart and manage cookies or similar technologies through your browser settings. You can reopen Cookie Preferences from the footer to change Functional or Analytics consent. To ask about personal information you submitted through the website, contact Funcle's Café using the phone number or mailing address below. We may need enough information to understand and respond to your request.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The website may link to or display services operated by other companies. Their websites, applications, and data practices are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information directly to a third party.
